Langkawi Geopark Carnival 2011

The Langkawi Geopark Carnival beginning May 30, 2008 in conjunction with its first anniversary.

The three-day carnival will be held at Dataran Lang in Kuah and the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) in Padang Matsirat. Dataran Lang is a 19-acre landmark located near the new Jetty Mall Complex and is adjacent to the CHOGM Park and Taman Lagenda.

The carnival will include an exhibition with participants from the government agencies, tour and travel agencies, and hotel operators. The highlight of the carnival will be a laser display on the development of Langkawi Geopark. The event is hoped to help promote Langkawi as a geological and biodiversity site to tourists.
