Langkawi Geopark’s Revalidation Mission 2011

26-28 July 2011 - Two UNESCO’s Geopark Experts, Dr Richard Watson from Marble Arch Geopark, Ireland and Dr Mahito Watanabe from Geological Survey of Japan has come to revalidate Langkawi Geopark. During this 3 days mission, both of the experts have been brought to several geosites and to meet with local community. At the last of the mission, during debriefing of validation documents, the Experts have comments on Langkawi Geopark’s progress for the last four years. The result of the revalidation will be announced during 10th European Geoparks Conference in September 2011 in Gea Norvegica Geopark, Norway.
